Walmart Will Pay You Overage On Your Coupons!

This is an absolute first for me.  A store that will give you the overage on your coupon!!! Walmart updated their coupon policy recently and it is very improved.  You must check it out here and print it too.

According to Walmart's policy, if the coupon amount exceeds the price of the item, they will give you the cash back or apply the credit to your basket of merchandise.  You may need to read between the lines with this one.  I am sure that when they say they will give you the cash back, that is probably if that is the only item you are purchasing.  For example, you are buying a pack of gum that costs $1 and you have a coupon for that gum in the amount of $1.50, they will give you the $.50 in cash.  But....if you are buying several things and that coupon does not bring your balance into the negative, I am sure they are not going to give you that $.50, they are going to just simply apply that $1.50 coupon to your balance due.

Another highlight of this new coupon policy is the fact that they will also take those coupons you get at checkout at other stores.  The ones that say manufacturer's coupon but usually have the logo of the store you received it from on them.  Those are only redeemable at the store you received it from.  Walmart will take them now too, no matter what store you received it from. This is great because they are typically high value coupons that don't double at the grocery store anyhow and Walmart's everyday prices are lower.

So read this new coupon policy and get shopping!
