Staples Deals

Staples has the Post-It Note heart dispensers on sale for $5 again this week.  I picked this up yesterday.  That sale ends today (Saturday).  Not sure if they will still be on sale next week for Valentine's day.  There is a $2 off coupon in the 1/8/12 SS?  I did notice that the coupons says you can use 1 per day only.

I also noticed that the Staples in Wappingers Falls had a good selection of items in their clearance section.  The spray hand sanitizers pictured below are on clearance for 50 cents.  They also had a ton of DVD cases, CD jewel cases, CD/DVD paper storage sleeves and neon plastic storage sleeves.  There was also a selection of computer programs on clearance.

Glitch*****Staples 15% Off Coupon

I ran into my first glitch with a GeoQpon tonight at Staples.  The coupon would not scan.  The manager was nice enough to pick up the phone and call their help desk.  The help desk told her that the coupon had already been used.  I had not used it myself.  They thought maybe it had to do with it being a 3rd party coupon.  Boo!!

Free Batteries At Staples Again This Week

There is an advertised sale on Duracell batteries at Staples this week.  It is not in the flyer and there are no signs at the store but there are notes at the register for the cashiers.

Purchase a 16pk of AA or AAA Duracell batteries and get 100% back in Staples Rewards through 1/28/12.  Remember, don't use Staples Rewards you have already earned to pay for them because that will be deducted from the Rewards you are supposed to get back for the batteries.  Usually the battery deal is a limit of 2.  I'm not sure what the limit is on this unadvertised special.

An FYI About Staples Rewards / Manufacturer's Coupons

Recently a friend of mine visited Staples and wanted to use a manufacturer's coupon and her Staples Rewards to pay for her item.  She was told by the cashier that you could not use both.  She disagreed with the cashier but the cashier insisted she could not use both.

I asked a manager at my local Staples today.  He said you can use both but the Staples Rewards needs to be scanned first because once a manufacturer's coupon is scanned it locks the transaction that nothing else other than a manufacturer's coupon can be scanned after that.  So you would need to use your Staples Rewards then the manufacturer's coupon.  The only way you will be able to use both is if the Staples Rewards is not in an amount equal to or larger than your total.  If it is then your transaction would be paid in full with your Staples Rewards and there would be no balance left for the coupon to be credited to.

Shop all day every day through January 25, 2012 at Staples and present this coupon to earn 25% back in Staples Rewards on your purchases.  The thing I find a little strange with this coupon is that it says you will see your Rewards on your August statement.  That is different.  Be sure to put your receipts aside and check your August statement for credit on your purchases.

Finally!!!  I've been checking and checking to see if my Rewards are ready to print and finally they are there!

If you did the Duracell deal a few times last month you probably have a good Rewards coupon this month. 

I had a total of $66.25 in Rewards from purchases and $8 for ink recycling.....WOO HOO!
